Q: Why not have a 'basic' or 'simple' $300 Will? Can just do it online or use ChatGPT?
A: Such wills typically are templates with little or NO guidance. Clients may not understand the consequences of their choices.

Q: Who should NOT have 'basic' or 'simple' Wills?
A: Individuals should AVOID basic/simple Wills if any of these apply:
- are Parents
- are Divorcees with children
- have children out of wedlock
- have dependants with special needs
- have elderly dependants
- have a spouse not originally from Singapore
- have an 'unworthy' beneficiary (e.g. unfilial, strained relations, etc.)
- are not on good terms with a potential beneficiary
- own more than 1 property
- want to ensure their children are eligble to buy BTO
- want to ensure equitable distribution
- have a business
- have overseas assets

Q: Don't you need a lawyer to draft a Will?
A: Under Singapore law, anyone (even you) can write a Will. Doing it with a trained professional makes your intentions clearer, less prone to dispute, and peace of mind.
